Magento Open Source development and support
We help businesses develop, maintain and improve Magento Open Source stores. Whether you need a new store, an integration, an upgrade or help with an existing build, we start with how the store is used and what it needs to do.
Magento services
New stores
We plan and build Magento Open Source stores, from the catalogue and customer journeys through development, integrations, testing and launch.
Development and improvements
We plan changes around the way people use the store and the work your team needs to do. That can include product discovery, checkout, catalogue management or a specific feature.
Systems integration
We connect Magento with enterprise resource planning (ERP), product information management (PIM), order management and other business systems. We define how orders, stock, product and customer data move between them.
Maintenance and upgrades
We assess the current version, extensions and custom code, then plan compatibility checks, testing and a controlled release.
Taking over an existing store
We can review a store built by another team and agree a handover. That starts with the code, integrations, documentation, access and known issues. See our Adobe Commerce and Magento support.
Choosing the right platform
The right platform depends on the catalogue, customer journeys, integrations, budget and resources available to maintain the store.
If you are comparing Magento Open Source with Adobe Commerce or another platform, we help work through those requirements before recommending a route.
Keep the existing store where it makes sense
A difficult integration or slow customer journey does not automatically mean a full rebuild is needed. We investigate the issue and the condition of the platform before recommending the scale of the work.
We explain what can be fixed within the existing store and when a larger change makes sense.

Magento Open Source questions
-
Can you work on a store built by another agency?
Yes. We review the setup, code, integrations and existing issues before agreeing the handover and next steps.
-
Can you help with upgrades?
Yes. We assess the current version, extensions, custom development and connected systems before setting out the work and testing required.
-
Can you help with a migration?
Yes. Migration work covers data, integrations, redirects, testing and launch, including search engine optimisation (SEO) and important customer journeys. If moving to Shopify Plus is being considered, our Magento to Shopify Plus migration service explains that route.
-
Is Magento Open Source the same as Adobe Commerce?
No. Magento Open Source is freely available software; hosting, development and maintenance still need to be provided. Adobe Commerce is commercially licensed, with additional capabilities and support. Adobe offers on-premises, cloud infrastructure and SaaS options, whose features and development approaches differ. We compare the relevant option with your catalogue, integrations, budget and operating needs.
-
How will we know whether an improvement worked?
We define the measure before starting. A technical fix can be checked through reliability or speed; a customer-journey change may also need behavioural and commercial measures.
