Case StudyThe perfect destination for fashionable clothes and fun gifts, Joy celebrates the individual style and the enjoyable side of life, for those who like to wear the latest trends and show the world their one of a kind perspective on fashion!
Founded in 2000, in Brixton, Joy is one of the UK’s most successful and growing independent fashion/gifts retailers. With an offer ranging from womenswear/menswear to accessories and gifts, the brand is directed at a young, active and independent audience. Joy is renowned for being stylish and innovative, presenting curated collections, designed to appeal to our eccentric quirky self and bring excitement into our world!
Following Joy’s desire to grow rapidly and with sustainability in the online shopping world, Superb Media developed a strategy to deliver the best results in an integrated and powerful digital solution. And in March 2015, Joy’s new website was unveiled.
The goal was to redefine and enhance the virtual shopping experience, alongside creating a sophisticated platform for mobile and tablets users, improving multiscreen browsing and product desirability. We optimised the performance of Magento, dramatically increasing the page load of the site and decreasing the server load. These developments allowed for a better efficiency of Joy’s performance, creating a more structured website.
One of the most important points of our strategy for Joy was the implementation of an easier way of shopping with One Step Checkout: we improved conversion and cart abandonment as users now fill in their address and choose delivery/payment methods on the same page, without the hassle of having to browse between pages. This method is available on Desktop, as well as Tablet and Mobile versions.
Another problem faced by online companies, with repercussions on customer satisfaction and sales values, is an accurate accountability of stock. The solution was the integration of the website with SEKO Warehouse, a stock and fulfilment solution. This integration allows for a bi-lateral communication between SEKO and Magento: the website sends orders to SEKO, where they are processed, picked and shipped to the client; in return SEKO sends to Magento accurate order status and product stock.
In the world of online shopping, customers need to feel they are connected and that their needs are met and anticipated by the retailer, providing a level of satisfaction and comfort leading to an increase in sales: Joy’s website was also integrated into Bronto, an email marketing solution, that allows for a costumer base gathering, who then receives email campaigns on special announces, new collection launches and exclusive promotions for subscribers. When a Joy email campaign is sent, the number of orders increases two times.
With our extensive knowledge in Magento and digital outlets, we developed and delivered an improved digital solution for Joy’s e-commerce needs: we improved the front and back end of the website, creating a more user friendly interface that works on multiple digital platforms without losing attractiveness or performance, delivering better and more efficient results in terms of client satisfaction and sales volume.
